CT-5142 Encoder Differential Input Module 2 Channel

The CT-5142 2-channel encoder differential input module by Sichuan Odot is a high-performance interface solution engineered for advanced motion control and precision measurement applications, directly addressing global challenges in high-speed position feedback, multi-encoder compatibility, and signal integrity in electrically noisy environments.

It supports two independent encoder input channels, each configurable for A/B quadrature incremental encoders or pulse-direction encoders, with support for 0–5V differential signaling to ensure noise immunity over long cable runs. In incremental mode, it offers x1/x2/x4 quadrature decoding for enhanced position resolution; in pulse-direction mode, it accepts pulse-only inputs (non-directional) for simplified control architectures.

Each channel also integrates one digital input (compatible with 5VDC or 24VDC) for home/z-index signals and one 5VDC digital output for status feedback. With a maximum input frequency of 10 MHz, the CT-5142 meets the demands of high-speed servo systems, spindles, and flying shear applications, and includes built-in frequency/speed measurement functionality to directly output load RPM or signal frequency.

Critical reliability features include magnetic isolation between the internal backplane bus and field inputs—eliminating ground loops—and 16 LED indicators for real-time visibility of signal quality, channel status, and communication health.

Proven in European CNC machines, North American robotic joint feedback systems, and Southeast Asian printing press synchronization controls, the CT-5142 integrates seamlessly with major PLCs and motion controllers.
