Module features

The CT-5112 2-channel encoder input module by Sichuan Odot is a rugged, high-performance motion feedback interface engineered for demanding industrial environments, directly addressing global challenges such as direct 24V encoder integration, complex power wiring, signal noise, and inefficient system setup.

It features two independent encoder channels, each configurable for A/B quadrature incremental or pulse-direction encoder inputs, with native support for 24VDC signal levels—compatible with both sourcing (PNP) and sinking (NPN) outputs, eliminating the need for external level-shifting circuits.

In incremental mode, it offers x1/x2/x4 quadrature decoding to enhance position resolution; in pulse-direction mode, it accepts pulse-only inputs (non-directional) for simplified control logic. Each channel integrates one digital input (5V/24V compatible), one 24VDC digital output, and crucially, one dedicated 24VDC power output to directly supply connected encoders—dramatically reducing field wiring complexity.

With a maximum input frequency of 1.5 MHz, the CT-5112 meets the real-time demands of high-speed servo systems, conveyors, and packaging machinery, and includes built-in speed and frequency measurement for direct load RPM output. Critical reliability features include magnetic isolation between the internal backplane bus and field signals—blocking ground loops—and 16 LED indicators for real-time visibility of channel status, power, and communication health.
